Approved Security Training Organisation

As per the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), it is a legal requirement that aviation security training is only delivered by an Approved Security Training Organization (ASTO). Since the recent changes regarding Instructor Certification have taken place we are happy to have an Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) Certified Instructor working on our team.

From the 01st December 2017, it is a legal requirement that aviation security training is only delivered by an Approved Security Training Organisation (ASTOs) in compliance with the Irish National Civil Aviation Security Program (NCASP).

We are pleased to announce that we have been confirmed as an Approved Security Training Organisation, our ASTO number is IE/ASTO/00007-01.

Instructors:

Allan Whyte – Certified Instructor Number (C.I.N. 38).

In his role at Butterfly Training, Allan combines his 20+ years of Sales and Marketing background with a passion for aviation, training and student development. Together with his role as Sales and Marketing Manager for the Butterfly Training Irish Market Allan is a fully qualified Commercial Pilot and Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) certified Flying Instructor. 

Allan is certified to deliver Aviation Security training by both the Irish Aviation Authority and UK Civil Aviation Authority and is our go-to classroom instructor for our English-speaking training requests across Europe.

Our ASTO can deliver training at at your facility, at our training room in Dublin, in a suitable conference room or online (via either eLearning or Virtual Classroom). We will need to tailor the training session based on your operation and the trainees role in the organisation ((the competencies are set out in the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP)).

Together with our International Air Transport Association (IATA) approval for Dangerous Goods Training through their new Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), our Irish Aviation Authority Dangerous Goods Awareness Training Approval and our other local approvals in the U.K., France, Spain and the United States, our Irish training os delivered specifically to meet the training requirements as set out in Chapter 11 of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP).
